How support coordinators refer an unregistered provider
When a coordinator can refer to an unregistered Melbourne provider, when they cannot, and what information we need on a referral.
Coordinators get burned when a provider over-claims registration. We would rather lose a referral than take one we cannot lawfully support.
When a referral to Quantum Care makes sense
- The participant is self-managed or plan-managed
- The support is daily living, household, community access or transport
- The work is in Greater Melbourne, on weekdays, scheduled in advance
When it does not
- Agency-managed / NDIA-managed funding
- SIL or SDA
- Specialist behaviour support
- Overnight or 24/7
- Support coordination (we do not deliver SC)
