The SCHADS award changes on 1 December 2026. NDIS prices may follow.
The Fair Work Commission decided Schedule E of the SCHADS award on 11 September 2026. The NDIA has said price limits will be updated later if that decision requires it.

On 11 September 2026 the Fair Work Commission issued its decision on Schedule E of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, as part of the gender-based undervaluation review. The changes take effect on 1 December 2026.
The NDIA reported that decision in the same notice as the Minister’s pricing determination: the 2026–27 NDIS pricing schedule will be updated later this year if the award changes require it. Read the notice here: New price limits set for NDIS supports.
Two different documents
The award is about what workers are paid and the conditions of that work. The NDIS price limit is about the maximum that can be claimed from a plan. They are related, because wages are a large part of the cost of an hour of support, but a change to the award does not automatically change your plan budget on 1 December.
Until the NDIA publishes an updated schedule, the prices in the current 2026–27 schedule are the ones to use. Do not let anyone invoice you against a rate they say is “coming in December” before that schedule exists.
What we will do
Quantum Care will tell you before we change a rate. We will not backdate a new price onto hours already agreed. If a plan manager pays the invoice, they check it against the published limit. The NDIA says those schedule maximums apply to NDIA-managed and plan-managed participants.
Weekday support with us is scheduled in advance. We do not offer overnight or 24/7 coverage.
This is general information about published decisions, not an opinion on what the Fair Work Commission should have done, and not a quote for your plan.
