What Core Supports actually pay for
A plain-language walk through Core Supports: daily living, household tasks, community and transport, and what they usually do not cover.
Core Supports is the part of an NDIS plan that pays for everyday help. It is not a holiday fund, and it is not automatically “100% NDIS funded” for anything you can think of.
Typical Core Supports
- Assistance with daily life at home
- Personal care
- Household tasks such as cleaning
- Community participation
- Some transport, depending on the plan
What families mix up
Core is different from Capacity Building (learning new skills, some therapy) and Capital (equipment and some home modifications). A provider should not tell you to recode an ineligible cost as Core.
How this maps to Quantum Care
Our current services sit in the everyday Core space: daily living and personal care, cleaning and gardening, community access, and transport. We will say if something you ask for is outside what we deliver or outside what Core usually funds.
